BIZDEV KIT
Your business, worked out with your AI agent.
A plan on one page, what you offer and to whom, and your brand. Open the kit in Claude or Codex and ask “What do I do next?”
Before you start: you need Claude Code or Codex (from a Claude or ChatGPT subscription).
Already have notes, a pitch, a website or documents? Put them in the kit’s my-documents folder before you start. Your agent reads them first and only asks what’s missing.
HOW TO START
Three steps, then your agent takes over.
-
Get Claude or Codex
Either works. Both need a paid plan.
-
Download and unzip the kit
Mac: double-click the zip. Windows: right-click it, then Extract All.
Keep the bizdev-kit folder somewhere easy, like Documents. Your work will live there.
-
Open it and ask
Claude: the Code tab → Local → Select folder → bizdev-kit.
Codex: open the bizdev-kit folder as your project. If asked whether you trust the folder, say yes. Then type:
What do I do next?
WHAT YOU WORK OUT
One question at a time, in plain words.
Your idea
What you offer, to whom, and why you.
Your customers
What they need, what annoys them, and how to ask them.
Your offer
Value propositions, a one-liner and a 30-second pitch.
The competition
Who else, what they charge. Every fact linked to its source.
The numbers
Price, costs, break-even and a first year.
Your brand
Two or three directions to choose from, then your guidelines.
A plan on a page
The next 90 days, and a one-pager to print.
Your app
Hand it on to the productdev or webdev kit, which start from it.
It keeps your place in PROGRESS.md: stop any time, pick up later. Your work stays on your computer, in the kit’s business folder.
WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing extra.
| Claude Code or Codex | Comes with a Claude or ChatGPT subscription |
| Anything else | Nothing. No other accounts, nothing to install. (A web app, later, has small costs of its own: see the webdev kit.) |
FOR THE CURIOUS
What is in the kit.
Instructions your agent follows to guide you, and five skills it reads when the work calls for them: customers and value propositions (after Strategyzer’s Value Proposition Canvas), market research, a business plan on one page (after Ash Maurya’s Lean Canvas) and brand guidelines.
Your brand guidelines are written in the format the productdev and webdev kits read, so your app starts from your brand.
Updates look after themselves. Once a day your agent checks here for a newer kit and installs it when you say yes. The download is checked against its published fingerprint; your work and progress are never touched.
WHEN YOU ARE READY
Then work out your app, and build it.
The productdev kit works out exactly what your app should do. The webdev kit builds it. Both read your plan and your brand. No questions twice.
